Chocolate in Seattle
Rose's Chocolate Treasures... a wonderful little chocolate boutique in the heart of Pike Place Market. The employee (who changed her name to Vie Sweet!) who works for Rose, makes all of the chocolates. She explained that she mixes vodka with the metallic paint to airbrush the beautiful bon bons.
I also went on the Seattle Chocolate Tour offered by the Chocolate Box (pictures below).
Tasting included Chocolate Vitale at the Chocolate Box; Factory tour at Theo Chocolate (amazing!); Fran's Chocolates (or should I say salted caramels- Milk are President's favorites, the dark are Michelle's favorites); and Oh Chocolates.

The Chocolate Land of the West - San Francisco
PIctures below are from the San Francisco Chocolate Walking Tour: stops included Recchiuti and Scharffen Berger/Joseph Schmidt/Dagoba (all owned now by Hershey's) both in the market place; Fog City News (magazine store known for their selection of hard to find bars); Leonidas (we sampled the hot chocolate); Teuscher (Oprah's favorite - Champagne truffle)- you can see our amazing tour guide Jesica in that picture; Cocoa Bella, known for hard to find bars and truffles (such as Mary's Belgium and Lille Belle Farms, Oregon); and of course the tour couldn't end until we stopped at a Ghiradelli store!
A true chocolate cafe - Bittersweet Cafe has an excellent collection of chocolate and a nice thick hot chocolate, YUM. There are about 3-4 in the area, maybe they'll bring one to NYC!
